A flat needs different preparation from a family house. You work in a building with neighbours, a shared stairwell and often a lift. That means we take a few things into account.
Bringing materials up and protecting the shared areas
We bring the sprayer, covering material and paint upstairs. Corridors and lifts are protected against dust and drips. If it is a building with an owners' association, ask beforehand whether there are rules on working hours and noise. That is usually a matter of a short email.
Inside the home we mask floors, skirting boards, frames and windows. Furniture goes in the middle of the room under sheeting, or you move it to another room beforehand. We include small repairs, such as holes and hairline cracks, in the price. We also sand by hand and fill all inside corners, so the paint finishes cleanly.

Spraying or rolling in a flat? Practical considerations for tenants and owners

Spraying has drawbacks too. The preparation is intensive and the room has to be fully covered. That is why we first discuss whether the room suits it. If rolling fits better, we say so honestly.
