I am Sander, owner of Latex-Spuiter.nl and the man behind Meesterspuiters. Our company is based in Haarlem and we have more than 10 years of experience in latex and lacquer spraying. We do not have a shop or office in your town: we come to you, look at the job on site and then prepare a quote.
We work with professional brands and equipment, such as Sigma Coatings, Caparol, Sikkens and Graco. The aim is simple: a smooth, even wall and a ceiling without roller marks, in a home that is left tidy afterwards. That is why on every job we alternate carefully between masking, sanding and spraying, and at the end we walk through the house with you.
As a latex sprayer we focus on homes. Think of a whole floor, a living room with a high ceiling or a new-build home that needs to be handed over. Smaller jobs we simply discuss through the quote. That avoids surprises: you know in advance what to expect, which rooms are included and what the schedule looks like.

What does a latex sprayer cost per m2? With us it starts at €7.95 per m2. You choose from three packages, which differ mainly in the quality of the latex paint and the scrub class (how well the paint withstands washing, under NEN-EN 13300, where class 1 is the most washable). All prices are "from" prices, based on light colours and one colour per quote.

How our latex sprayer works, from site visit to handover

- Quote: you receive a clear price with the VAT amount (btw) included.
- Preparation: we mask windows and frames, hand sand walls and ceilings, repair small defects and fill all inside corners.
- Spraying: two coats of latex with an airless machine.

Disadvantages of airless spraying and when rolling suits better
What are the disadvantages of latex spraying? Spraying needs more preparation than rolling, because everything that must not get paint has to be masked. Spraying also creates mist, which is why manufacturer Wagner advises respiratory protection against overspray. The surface also has to be in good condition: according to Homedeal, a surface that is wallpapered or smooth and ready for paint (what the Dutch call "sausklaar") is preferable, and any existing texture remains visible.

Doing the spray work yourself or hiring a decorator
Can I spray latex myself? Technically it is possible, but an airless machine takes practice. Graco writes that you should start at the lowest pressure and raise it slowly, strain the paint and keep roughly 30 cm distance. What to arrange before the latex sprayer arrives
With good preparation the spraying goes faster and the result looks sharper. This is what you do yourself:
- Remove loose items and small furniture from the room; large furniture we move together to one spot.
- Take art, curtains and lamps off the walls and ceiling.
- Make sure the room is accessible for our equipment.
- Tell us which colour you want and whether you are choosing light colours.
We take care of the rest: masking, sanding, filling, spraying and clearing up. That leaves you with little work and you can use the room again straight after handover, as soon as the latex is dry enough to put the furniture back.

Can I spray latex myself?
Yes, with a suitable airless machine, but it takes practice and a lot of preparation. The pressure, the nozzle and the distance to the wall decide whether the result is even. Many people therefore leave it to a professional.
Which is better, rolling or spraying latex?
For large surfaces and an even finish, spraying is often more pleasant. For a small piece of wall, rolling is usually enough. Wagner says spraying is up to four times faster than a brush or roller for beginners.
Is latex spraying cheaper?
It differs per job. Spraying is faster, but it needs preparation. Always compare quotes on the price per m2 and on what is included. With us, masking, sanding and filling are included in the price.
How many coats of latex do you spray?
We always spray two coats of latex. According to the Sigma data sheet, the latex is dry to the touch after about 1 hour and can be overpainted after 4 hours, measured at 23 degrees and 50% humidity.

Do you also spray doors and stairs?
Yes, we also spray lacquer. Indicative prices: an interior door from €110, a closed staircase from €650 and an open staircase from €700. Lacquer spraying is tailor-made work, so the exact price follows after a visit.
