In a family house the planning differs from an apartment. In our experience, a family house of about 120 m2 is often sprayed and finished in 1 to 2 days, including preparation. That is faster than rolling, which easily takes you several days. An empty house goes fastest.
The stairwell is usually the trickiest part. High walls with a staircase alongside call for a stable set-up and a lot of masking at the stairs and the banister. We protect the treads and the floors above, and then spray in one go from top to bottom. That keeps the colour even.
Bedrooms are the easiest job. Often one coat per session is needed. A standard room of 12 to 20 m2 takes on average 30 to 60 minutes per coat, so you notice little of the spraying itself. Do you want the whole house done over a weekend? Discuss that at the on-site visit and we will plan per floor.
