According to Statistics Netherlands (CBS, 2024), 6,715 people live in the Geuzenbuurt, in 3,757 homes and 4,100 households. That is an average of about 1.6 people per household. The density is 24,374 residents per km2, the area is extremely urban and all homes are multi-family dwellings.
Of the homes, 32 per cent are owned and 68 per cent rented. The Amsterdam average is 30 per cent owned and 70 per cent rented, so the Geuzenbuurt sits slightly above it. In addition, 99 per cent of the homes are more than 10 years old and 1 per cent newer.
