Our approach for apartments and recent new build in De Kolenkit
With 33 per cent of homes from the last 10 years, it pays to distinguish. In recent buildings the walls are often already ready for wallpaper or paint and the work is done quickly. In older homes we sand the walls and ceilings by hand, repair small holes and fill all inside corners. Only then does the first coat go on, followed by the second. Always two coats, so the coverage is even and you get no patches showing through.
In an apartment you work with a short route upstairs. We bring the machine and the masking materials and protect floors, frames and furniture. The difference between the packages is in the quality of the latex. Basic uses standard latex with scrub class 3, Medium medium latex with scrub class 2 and High high-end latex with scrub class 1 (class 1 being the most washable under NEN-EN 13300).
